Charlie O's Tavern
Location: 2 Sand Hill Cove Road, Narragansett, Rhode Island
Description: Charlie O's would best be described as a sports bar. They serve lunch and dinner, the menu has basically anything you're looking for. The bar is spacious and there's a second bar up on the second floor as well. Charlie O's has pool tables where you can play a game for a dollar. There are televisions on every wall and they offer a juke box as well so guests can choose whatever they might want to listen to. There's not really a set night of the week the URI students regularly frequent this bar, however you'll find at least some there on any night of week. They're popular for their Happy Hour specials, and they serve free food during happy hour. They also have Sangria Sunday's where you can buy 5 dollar pitchers of Sangria.
Entertainment: I've never seen Charlie O's hire a DJ before as far as entertainment goes. I think because it's more of a sports bar people are usually watching whichever game is on, and they also have the jukebox which I mentioned before as far as music goes.
Known Drink: I would have to say Charlie O's is most known for it's five dollar pitchers of beer, and Sangria on Sunday's.
Dress code: There's no dress code for Charlie O's. You'll always find a mix of differently dressed people in attendance, ranging from extremely casual to dressed up (aka girls in heels).
My favorite part: My favorite thing about Charlie O's is that people are always there on any night of week. If another bar isn't fun or is too crowded, let's go to Charlie O's!
Service: On a 1-10 scale with 10 being the highest I would rate the service as a 7. The service is usually decently speedy but some of the bartenders just don't seem that friendly.
