Bon Vue Inn (Hammerhead Grill)

Bon Vue Inn

Location: 1230 Ocean Road, Narragansett, Rhode Island
Description: Bon Vue Inn has been around since 1979. We URI students just call it Bon Vue, but it's also known as the Hammerhead Grill during the day. They have a full bar menu, which offers 10 cent wings, tacos, buffalo chicken strips and teriyaki chicken. It also offers a pool table, dart games and a big dance floor. Bon Vue is three stories tall and right on the water. It has multiple outdoor deck areas with water view. All three floors have full bars. I've never been to Bon Vue on any day of the week besides Thursdays. Thursday is basically the day that URI students have designated that Bon Vue is the place to be. It's very spacious, however it always gets so crowded by midnight that you find yourself pushing your way through the crowd. The top floor always seems to get the most crowded, it also usually tends to be the most well lit floor of all three. The lights on the second floor are dimmer and the lights in the basement are so dim that sometimes you can't see who you're talking to. Dancing mostly takes place on the second floor.
Entertainment: As far as live music, Bon Vue hires a DJ who is stationed on the second floor in front of the dance floor. Last week there were actually two DJs, one in the usual place and another in the basement.
Known Drink: On Thursdays Bon Vue offers $1 drink specials and $2 dollar beers as a URI student special.
Dress code: Everyone usually gets pretty dressed up (heels, dresses, etc) to attend Thursday nights at Bon Vue.
My favorite part: My favorite thing about Bon Vue is how it has three floors. Such a variety of people go every week and if you get bored on the 3rd floor you can just go back down to the 2nd and hang out with someone else.
Service: On a 1-10 scale with 10 being the highest I would rate the service as a 10. I've never really waited at all for a drink ever that I can remember.
